New Directions
For most of my potting life I have worked on the wheel. In recent years, I started making slab-built pots. A month or two ago, I began making bowls and dishes out of slabs pressed into biscuit molds - molds made on the wheel and low-fired so that they remain porous. Here are three examples: a large bowl with a dramatic glaze (SOLD); a cut-off bowl with a quiet matte finish; and a plate (SOLD) - with an illustration of how it might be used.
